Congratulations on all the book releases!! I’m looking forward to checking them out and attending the webinar.
Question: I have a manuscript under consideration with a smaller independent publisher. If they make an offer, can I reach out to agents for representation in the deal. I read somewhere that this wouldn’t be worth their time. Thoughts? If an agent wasn’t willing to take it on, what are my best resources for navigating the deal?
Hi, if the independent publisher offers an advance, you can let any agents you’ve queried know that you have a book deal offer on the table.
If they don’t offer an advance or you do not get an agent, I recommend finding a lawyer who specializes in publishing contract law. There are many parts of contract language that does not protect the author. And it’s important to have someone help you understand the implications of those so you can negotiate the contract.
Hi Everyone, apologies for the lack of the link to register for my First Page webinar. I’ve fixed that. You can click on the CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE image to access it. You will have first dibs until next Friday. If you’re interested in signing up for a first page add on, I recommend doing so before I advertise publicly since there are limited spots. Thank you, and have a great weekend!
Thanks, Sera.Busy day tomorrow but I’d love to listen. Thanks so much.Connie SmithSent from my iPhone

Congrats on the interest you received!
Very joyful and positive message in a time of overwhelming dark words, emotions, and images. Thank you!
Love the advice about not feeling guilty for time spent creating!
